Liebster Award, Versatile Blogger Nomination

This post is to acknowledge and thank my fellow bloggers,  Jeremy A Boy with Shoes, ,http://aboywithshoes.wordpress.com/ and Stefan,  http://skww.wordpress.com/ for nominating my blog to get a little special attention.  Which, for a mostly undiscovered writer and artist, is kinda nice.

OK, so I will start with Jeremy, whose soulful phototography just keeps drawing us back in to ponder what he’s looking at and translating through the lens each day.  I want to thank him for being a supportive new friend in the blogossphere, and also for nominating me for the Liebster award.  And just for good measure, I will throw in a favorite photo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/evillatenighttv/6482637581/in/photostream/lightbox/

This one is called “Birds on a Wire” and I love its simplicity but also I love how it captures the essence of loneliness and shared experience at the same time.  The image of these two silhouettes is  cast against the bright glow of the sky, the juxtapostiion of hopefulness and desperation.

Here is the cut and paste on the Liebster from his blog:

Liebster is a German word that means favorite or dearest, and the award is given to bloggers with 200 or less followers. Here are a few rules that come with the acceptance of this award:

Thank  the blogger who gave you the award  (which goes without saying!), and link back to their site o Pass the award on to five other bloggers; however, they must have less than or exactly 200 followers o Let every nominee know that they have been given the award by posting a comment on their blog o Display the award on your blog

And here are my nominations go to: :

Jeremy, a Boy with Shoes. . .out of mutual admiration for him because I follow his new blog pretty much every chance  I get and continue to be surprised and delighted with the subject matter.

(List to be continued!)

The other nomination I received was from Stefan, author of “Personal Perceptions” at http://skww.wordpress.com/.  Stefan’s photo blog is one that celebrates art and architecture with clarity and precision.  You read his blog and it’s a bit like traveling alongside a companion who notices all the most important details, happy to share his insights with you.

Here is my current favorite Stefan blog. . .just love the angle of this shot and the subject matter.  His background telling of the Medusa story really fleshes out the post too:  http://skww.wordpress.com/2011/12/20/medusa/

And here are the deets on that one:

There are 4 rules for accepting this award:

1. Thank the award-giver and link back to them in your post. 2. Share 7 things about yourself. 3. Pass this award along to 15 recently discovered blogs you enjoy reading. 4. Contact your chosen bloggers to let them know about the award.

I follow a lot of blogs and these are some of the ones I really enjoy, not even touching on all of them.  (I would add more, but lacking stamina this week and wanting to acknowledge Stefan’s kindness finally.

Angels of Secrets:  For it’s poetry and authenticity, disturbingly luminous and beautiful; this is just soul-stirring stuff. ..I can’t find words to describe it much more; just have a look.  You won’t be sorry: http://angelsofsecrets.wordpress.com/

Writing through the Fog: A collection of interesting art and commentary.  Great source of inspiration and informative writing: http://writingthroughthefog.com/

Photos from the Looney Bin:  http://photosfromtheloonybin.wordpress.com/ for its realistic insights on life and love

I will add more later. . .but for now, that’s all I have.  xoxo

Love to all.
